Who We Are..

Substance Awareness Greater Anderson (SAGA) is a group of committed community members whose goal is to unite the Greater Anderson community in acknowledging, taking responsibility for, and preventing the use of illegal drugs - as well as the illegal use of alcohol, tobacco, prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

SAGA is a proactive coalition in partnership with multiple community sectors. We act as a catalyst to promote and strengthen community norms that will help foster a lifetime of healthy choices.

SAGA was established in 1995 as a subcommittee of the Anderson Area Wellness Alliance, in partnership with the Forest Hill School District. in 1999, SAGA became an independent 501 1C-3 status community anti-drug coalition.
